5 Good Acktress – Jeff Mullins barn is tearing them up early this Hollywood meet; blinkers off, speed to lead throughout.
4 Van Brit – Huge class dropper from Vann Belvoir; he adds blinkers on trying to reverse the poor form.
Long Shot – 1 Carrie Rose
Race 2 – 4 1/2 furlongs, Purse $30,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, 2-year-olds
3 Western Showdown – Was favored in debut and ran well for second; double tough if he improves one step.
5 Bushwacked – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; Gary Sherluck adds blinkers on too.
Long Shot – 1 Charlie Thomas
Race 3 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
9 Just Because – Has run three straight seconds since claimed by John Sadler; he has run fast enough to beat these.
11 J Man – Must overcome a parking lot post with a short run to the turn; beaten chalk in last at this bottom class level
Long Shot – 3 Mayan Eyes
Race 4 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $21,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
7 Hidden Passion – Sliding down the claiming ladder to this low class level; tactical speed to sit a decent trip.
4 Briteness – Another taking a solid class drop to face easier; speed to be forwardly placed throughout.

3 Joelito – Admirable run beaten just two lengths in the American Turf; clearly gets class relief today.
6 Horizon Sky – After three straight thirds, Jeff Mullins adding blinkers on; tries a new pilot in Edwin Maldonado.

1 Belvin – Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry so caveat emptor; tries 2-turns for the first time, expect good early speed.
6 Little Jerry – Solid improvement in last two starts on turf; now switching to synthetics, the transfer can be seamless.
Long Shot – 4 Jovita’s Tuffy

6 Wild Tony – Big class drop from MSW to maiden claiming; has run for a price tag before, but never this cheap.
2 Caveman Keno – Should some improvement first off the claim for Kristin Mulhall; like the cut back in distance today.
