Race 2 – 1 mile (turf), Purse $43,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

4 Scorcher – The ship/win angle makes sense for us handicappers; you know the connections are all out to win in the spot.

2 This One’s for Mel – Peter Miller is typically tough at the sea shore meet; suspect most of his stock will be live.

Long Shot – 6 Bipartisan

Race 3 – 6 furlongs, Purse $38,000, Claiming $20,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

Race 4 – 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse 480,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 3-year-olds and up

4 Cyclometer – Sprinter stretching out could be the speed of the speed; suspect the turf course will be very firm and fast.

1 Ivanho – Gary Stevens has a big shot to break the ice early on this meet; hugs the rail to save ground, grinds it out late.

Long Shot – 7 Gab Power

Race 5 – 5 furlongs, Purse $75,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Fillies, 2-year-olds

6 My Lucky Rose – Bob Baffert babies figure to be front and center; with the BC at SA, he’ll get them all lined up.

Long Shot – 9 Jaycee’s Faith

Race 6 – 1 mile (turf), $100,000 Oceanside, 3-year-olds

2 Gervinho – Nice comeback in last in NoCal stakes; idle since the BC, he’s got the license to be a nice turf stakes horse.

5 Undrafted – Logical chalk off a huge turf win in last; ridden by bugboy Dylan Davis, son of jockey Robbie Davis.

Long Shot – 6 Freakin Rocket

Race 7 – 6 furlongs, Purse $38,000, Claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up

Long Shot – 6 Royal Meridian

Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $75,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

9 E K Ruler – Huge rider switch to Garrett Gomez for the money shot; like a big jockey riding for a low percentage barn.

5 Love de Car – FTS from Jeff Mullins; I’ll be paying close attention to the Joel Rosario mounts today.

Long Shot – 2 Gentlemen Pete

Race 9 -1 mile (turf), $100,000 Oceanside, 3-year-olds
