Post Time 4 p.m.
Race 1 – 1 mile, Purse $75,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
4 Missing Groom – Easy to favor Rafael Bejarano riding for Jerry Hollendorfer; was part of a blanket finish in last as the chalk.
7 Beach Fever – Did everything but win last time in a solid second; has improved with each start for Mark Glatt.
Long Shot – 5 Synnin
Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $8,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Chippette – Got up in the final stride last time; facing the same group, cheap horses can have issues repeating a good race.
8 Warren’s Assassin – Dead late closer is always at the mercy of pace; will sit in arrears and make one run under Alonso Quinonez.
Long Shot – 5 Nava Nataly
Race 3 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $38,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds
2 Hennythelovepenny – Was favored in debut and did a pop and stop; dropping down in class can only help her cause.
7 Sheezflippinsexy – FTS from the Vann Belvoir barn; key vote for me is Rafael Bejarano up, fighting tooth and nail for the riding title.
Long Shot – 3 Suite One
Race 4 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $58,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
3 Fantastic Mizz – Julio Canani won again on Thursday; thus his meet stats are 5-for-16 wins, deadly under any circumstances.
9 Plaza de Indias – Peter Miller is fighting for the trainer title so no holds barred; he is throwing the kitchen sink in seach of wins.
Long Shot – 4 Intoxicating Move
Race 5 – 1 mile, Purse $77,000, Optional claiming $20,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
4 True Ten – This is a large class drop from a stakes for this; Vladimir Cerin is adding blinkers on, keeping Rafael Bejarano.
2 Deraptor – Excruciating nose loss in last; Kent Desormeaux continues to amaze with his outstanding riding this meet.
Long Shot – 8 Storm Comin Thru
Race 6 – 1 mile, $100,000 El Cajon, 3-year-olds
8 Conquest Two Step – Just missed last time as a ship and win horse; has always been highly regarded, returns to stakes competition.
10 Red Outlaw – Unbeaten in four starts, he’s got two stakes wins on his belt; speedball figures to try and go pillar to post.
Long Shot – 4 Friendswith K Mill
Race 7 – 6 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Covey – Ron Ellis has had a memorable Del Mar summer; this one slides down a notch in class and figures to improve a step or two.
10 Nero’s Pleasure – Sliding down the maiden claiming ladder to this bottom rung; need not be much to compete with these.
Long Shot – 12 Gisele At Fonz’s
Best Bet – 3 Fantastic Mizz (race 4)
