5 She’s All Yours – Claimed by the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer off a sharp win; Rafael Bejarano remains loyal to the cause.
8 Tener Gusto – Bugboys are typically better on horses with early speed; that way they can stay out of trouble.
Long Shot – 7 Saturday Nite Wish
Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $75,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 2-year-olds
1 Miss Lafayette – Had a trouble trip in debut or could have won; Craig Dollase sticking with Corey Nakatani.
5 Bajan – Talk about exiting a key race; she ran behind stakes winner Albert’s Hope and also Rum Point in last.
Long Shot – 4 Fascinating
Race 3 – 1 mile, Purse $33,000, Claiming $16,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
7 Tribalicious – Agapito Delgadillo is one underrated race rider; like that Bill Spawr uses him on many live ones.
3 Cee’s The Year – Tepid chalk was claimed out of a win by Bob Hess; is spotted well for a repeat race.
Long Shot – 2 Funny Belle
Race 4 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $43,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
5 Currahee – Turned in a sharp effort off a 9-month hiatus; if he improves one step more, look out.
4 Rocky Barboa – Eric Kruljac long shot adding blinkers on; has tactical speed already, square price.
Long Shot – 7 Brannaman
Race 5 – 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 14 feet), Purse $43,000, Claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
8 Sky Cape – Trust Bill Spawr coming back off a one year vacation; watch the tote board for more clues.
1 Danderek – Claimed two back by Jerry Hollendorfer; beaten favorite in last, takes a small class drop.
Long Shot – 9 Manor Magic
Race 6 – 1 mile, Purse $77,000, Allowance, 3-year-olds and up
4 Soi Phet – The Leonard Powell barn has been en fuego at Del Mar; Beyer improved 20+ points off the claim.
5 Blue Tone – Broke his MSW in a time fast enough to win a graded stakes; man or mouse facing winners today.
Long Shot – 7 Curly Top
Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $75,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
4 Imperial Fortune – Hard to go against Bob Baffert babies; this one did everything but win in last.
2 Proven Warrior – Blew a tire in last as an overwhelming favorite; if he bounces back he’ll be double tough.
Long Shot – 3 Holy Lute
Race 8 – 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 14 feet), $150,000 La Jolla Handicap, 3-year-olds
6 Rosengold – He disappointed in the Oceanside on opening day; free running colt needs to be sent hard early.
7 Freakin Rocket – Ran OK in his stakes debut last out; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip for Mike Smith.
Long Shot – 5 Greeley Awesome
Race 9 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $77,000, Optional claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
8 Mum’s Truckee – Chance to upset exiting a key race; better when taken back just off the pacesetters.
2 Gifting – Will get tested for class facing a tough group of pros; suspect she still has a high ceiling.
Long Shot – 4 Unseen Visitor
Race 10 – 7 furlongs, Purse $28,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 3-year-olds and up
8 Cinco de Mario – Sliding down the maiden claiming ladder to this career low; hot barn and rider too.
6 Wildcat Candy – Ran well from parking lot post 12; returned off a 16-month hiatus, should show improvement.
