4 Halfapondarosa – Claimed by the hot Doug O’Neill barn; spotted nicely to win first out, has a ton of back class.
2 Salty Sarah – Bob Baffert cull has clearly earned her keep; now dropped way down teasing others to claim her.
Long Shot – 3 High Resolve
Race 2 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $19,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds and up
4 No Stadium – Barn switch from Jerry Fanning to Bill Spawr; has never shown winning ways but carries much back class.
2 Capture the Call – Speedball was claimed in back to back races, a good sign; key vote is reclaim by Terry Knight.
Long Shot – 1 Morganouska
Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $23,000, Claiming $16,000, 4-year-olds and up
6 Miles Heir – Bill Spawr can have a good day if recent claims like this win first out; small edge in a tough heat.
3 Rocket Roan – Strong dirt resume with 13-of-16 races in the money; claimed by Dean Pederson who hires Joel Rosario.
Long Shot – 5 Belo Purse
Race 4 – 1 1/2 miles (turf), $150,000 San Luis Rey, 4-year-olds and up
5 Bourbon Bay – Hasn’t won since Del Mar but has had some close calls; Neil Drysdale tries Joel Rosario for this marathon.
6 Slim Shadey – Has won back to back turf marathons at 13/1 and 11/1 odds; if you missed the wedding this may be the funeral.
Long Shot – 2 Utopian

3 Hidden Blessing – Mike Mitchell is never afraid to drop and win; cuts back in distance, will be finishing fast.
2 My Man Sumo – Aggressive class rise after a solid second last out; Ron Ellis barn picks his spots carefully so respect.

6 Candys Girl – Mike Mitchell adding blinkers on, an angle that wins 24 percent for the trainer; third start off a 5-month hiatus.
1 Babeneau – Has had many chances but she’ll inherit a win one of these days; another live Ron Ellis entry.

Race 7 – 1 1/8th miles (turf), $150,000 Santa Ana, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
4 Strawberrydaiquiri – She looks like lone early speed so lets prime her for an upset; price comes with Mario Gutierrez up.
2 Cambina – She has been knocking heads with the best of her division in SoCal; always at the mercy of pace and a trip.
Long Shot – 7 Wild Mia
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $30,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
3 Bull Ring – Draw a line thru the turf race in last; was claimed by Mike Pender off two good races for Bob Baffert.
2 Baron Von Red – John Sadler has an uncoupled entry so keep an eye on So Tough too; this one broke his maiden by daylight in last.

9 Father Pabst – I can’t recall picking this many Mario Gutierrez mounts on one card; if he has a good day, so will I.
2 Smart Hombre – Marty Jones adding blinkers on for this; lost two close calls for this bottom level $20K class.
