Today at Hollywood Park
Post Time 12:30 p.m.
Race 1 – 6 furlongs, Purse $21,000, Claiming $12,500, Fillies, 3-year-olds
4 March Mary – Sharp win last time and appears capable of repeating; beat some of these for fun last out.
2 Michailasheartlite – Strictly second best to the chalk last out; has some back class where she can improve.
Long Shot – 1 Roulette It Roll
Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Claiming $10,000, 3-year-olds and up
7 Mark of a Warrior – Claimed by the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; he has proven that this is a comfortable class for him.
5 Clear to Canada – Claimed by Peter Miller off a half baked try; like the turn back in distance for this.
Long Shot – 6 Galleta Monstruo
Race 3 – 1 mile (turf), Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds
2 Qatar’s Pearl – Was favored both races in Ireland; suspect he shipped here to use Lasix, may have been a bleeder.
9 Late Night Sky – Big improvement last time in his turf debut; showed good speed and courage to fight it out late.
Long Shot – 6 Blingo
Race 4 – 6 furlongs, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
7 Genius – Bob Baffert has an uncoupled entry in here; Martin Garcia gets first call and chose the Smart Strike baby.
4 Doubledown On Ten – Strong debut last January, then sight unseen; leap of faith that Joel Rosario has a live one.
Long Shot – 1 Fiarano
Race 5 – 1 mile (turf), $100,000 Miesque, Fillies, 2-year-olds
6 Assateague – Not unusual to see 2-YO MSW graduates enter graded stakes next out; high ceiling, learn more tonight.
1 Island Paradise – English shipper gets the vote of Joel Rosario, that’s enough for me; watch the tote for clues.
Long Shot – 7 More Than Love
Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $45,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
5 Full’s Kris S. – Ran well in open company, albeit for a $30K price tag; now facing restricted Cal-breds, that’s a plus.
9 Attentiontodetail – FTS from Eric Kruljac barn; many starters here are stuck in neutral, this guy is unknown.
Long Shot – 4 Lethal Intent
Race 7 – 1 1/4 miles (turf), Purse $48,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
8 Utopian – He teases at talent but has yet to deliver; this is a soft and winable spot for this John Shirreffs charge.
2 Jairzihno – Showed no late energy in last, may have sat too close to the early pace; suspect Joe Talamo will take back.
Long Shot – 6 Yodelen Dan
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $52,000, Optional claiming $62,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
4 Include Me Out – Few horses will win a race as easily as she did last time; gets an acid test on the class rise.
6 Teddy’s Promise – Ron Ellis has an uncoupled entry and appears locked and loaded; they finished 1-2 last time they met.
Long Shot – 3 Evita’s Sister
Race 9 – 1 mile (turf), $250,000 Matriarch, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
8 Never Retreat – Proven to be one of the better turf mares in the country; east coast turf horses ship well to SoCal.
1 Unbridled Humor – Has shown she can win on or just off the early pace; top eastern riders flew out for this test.
Long Shot – 7 Star Billing
Race 10 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
7 Satin Bouquet – Dull run in last off a 8-month hiatus; suspect she’ll be tighter in this bottom level class.
4 Creston Cutie – Nearly overcame a poor start in an above average debut; clearly not one to be overlooked today.
Long Shot – 3 Warren’s Boogie
Best Bet – 8 Never Retreat (race 9)
Hollywood Park Sunday – Picks/Winners/Mutuels, 12/3/$24.40; Long Shots, 6/1/$8.00; Best Bet, 1/0/$0

SIMULCAST PLAY OF THE DAY – #6 Arena Elvira (5/2) in race 9 at Aqueduct. For scoring purposes, we’ll make a hypothetical $2 win, place and show bet, $6 total.
