Race 1 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $52,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
1 Cahill Country – Hector Palma has won with 41 percent off the claim; he must have the fountain of youth.
5 Gab Power – Logical chalk is a 3-YO taking on his elders; has built an OK grass resume in four recent tries.
Long Shot – 2 Dontmesroundwitjim
Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $10,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
4 Park Time Luck – Has won 8-of-15 starts over synthetics; tactical speed to sit a nice trip throughout.
8 Manhattan Beach – Sliding down the claiming ladder to this new low class; Mike Mitchell drops to win.
Long Shot – 2 Lit de Bet
Race 3 – 6 furlongs (turf, rail at 10 feet), Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up
2 Kingpin Ryno – Did everything but win last time in a missed head bob; rail a huge edge in turf sprints.
1 Fordham Road – FTS from John Shirreffs has grass pedigree to die for; Rafael Bejarano takes the call.
Long Shot – 6 Britt’s Brother
Race 4 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $20,000, Claiming $10,000, 3-year-olds and up
4 Mr. Saturdaynight – Like horses that won and ran a slower Beyer; chance to improve and repeat.
8 Joe Carl – Logical chalk is sliding back down the claiming ladder; reunited with main man Joel Rosario.
Long Shot – 7 Lease of Life
Race 5 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Seekitana – Jeff Mullins has an uncoupled entry and this is the higher-odds horse; saves ground and grinds.
6 Jaredella – Tepid chalk in a wide-open affair; going 2 turns for the first time, always a question mark.
Long Shot – 8 Working At Night
Race 6 – 7 furlongs, Purse $38,000, Claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
7 Bestdressed – Was clearly overmatched in the Tiznow; class relief gives him a solid upset chance.
2 Mayor Marv – Ran a big race in return off a 2-year hiatus; has back class to repeat, but it was a big exertion.
Long Shot – 4 Killer Bear
Race 7 – 6 furlongs, Purse $52,000, Optional claiming $80,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
6 American Lady – Was flattered when Orientatious won easily next out; conservative move up her conditions.
7 Rumor – She has run 3 solid races but hasn’t broke through with a big effort yet; has the pedigree to improve a lot.
Long Shot – 3 Alaska Miss
Race 8 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 10 feet), $150,000 American Handicap, 3-year-olds and up
4 The Usual Q.T. – Had no pace to chase in the Inglewood; the pace will be faster today, no excuses in here.
7 Sidney’s Candy – Has more class than Liberian Freighter; yet the two speedballs may cancel each other out.
Long Shot – 6 Goldwaki
Race 9 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds and up
6 Bold Type – In a race this wide open, you can’t settle for the chalk; been training well for seasonal debut.
4 Fortunate Appeal – Been away 8 months but showed some ability back when; the less starts the better in here.
Long Shot – 8 Unusually Lucky
Best Bet – 6 American Lady (race 7)
