Post Time 7:05 p.m.
Race 1 – 6 furlongs, Purse $32,000, Claiming $25,000, 3-year-olds
4 El Gaucho – Joel Rosario had choices and opted for the maestro, Jerry Hollendorfer; sliding down the claiming ladder.
3 Tonzatrouble – Marty Jones charge should improve with workouts and racing at his home track; ran better than looked in last.
Long Shot – 5 Cat in the Forest
Race 2 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $20,000, Claiming $16,000, 3-year-olds and up
6 Coloursoftheglen – Was in tough last time, first off the claim by Jack Carava; is spotted today to be in play.
7 Boulder Creek – Should have gotten a lot out of his turf mile in last; tighter for this spot where he really fits.
Long Shot – 1 Matamor
Race 3 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 3-year-olds and up
8 T. K. Fortysix – Jerry Hollendorfer returns him to a class where he competed best; blinkers off and Joel Rosario.
5 Game A. P. – Draw a line through his miserable turf race; his try two back is fast enough to upset these.
Long Shot – 7 Cherrypopper
Race 4 – 7 furlongs, Purse $60,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds and up
3 Don Tito – Big class drop from the Potrero Grande to this; John Sadler wants a confidence builder in him.
5 Bet On Victor – Did a pop and stop in the Potrero Grande; suspect he’ll see a much softer early pace tonight.
Long Shot – 2 El Martillo
Race 5 – 1 1/16th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
8 Visual Intensity – Exits two strong seconds in turf routes; certainly one of the ones, but this is an evenly matched bunch.
6 Cat Talk – Solid turf debut in last; has good tactical speed and will be aided by the turf rail out 15 feet.
Long Shot – 3 Checkmark
Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $35,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
8 Lift Our Luck – Jeff Mullins is having for him a very slow year; this filly closed fast on grass, returns to synthetics.
7 Chocolate Caliente – If things go right, the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer could have a good day; has a ton of speed.
Long Shot – 3 Alaska Miss
Race 7 – 11/16th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $52,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
5 Kim’s Leading Man – Has really improved since claimed by David Hofmans; suspect will be overlooked on the class rise.
9 Dance With Gable – Stretching out around 2 turns for the first time in a while; the question will come in the final furlong.
Long Shot – 6 Gab Power
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Queenofcalifornia – Did a classic pop and stop in last as the favorite; expect patient handling from Rafael Bejarano.
7 Right On Renee – FTS from Melody Conlon is the morning line chalk; goes to show how poor this field really is.
Long Shot – 14 Early Evening
Best Bet – 6 Coloursoftheglen (race 2)
