7 Warren’s Peacock – Exits the Cliff Sise barn, which gave up training for now; huge class drop points her out.
2 Takethemoneyandrun – Another taking a huge class drop just before the Del Mar meet; expect improvement.
Long Shot – 4 Alexandria Marie
Race 2 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $25,300, Maiden claiming $30,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
6 Roman Chic – Been away 9 months, but is working fast for return; Brian Koriner adding blinkers on.
4 Huntington Harbour – Been away since Del Mar, where she faced much tougher; co-owned by Jon Lindo of the Lindo Report.
Long Shot – 2 Lorenbray
Race 3 – 7 1/2 furlongs, Purse $57,200, Allowance, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Sparkling Style – Sensational looking debut win; not sure what she beat, but was visually impressive.
3 Screaming Regal – Has a lot more experience than the chalk; dead-late closer will find her best stride late.
Long Shot – 2 Bench Glory
Race 4 – 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $38,500, Claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
4 The Whammer – Mike Mitchell hasn’t won a race in a day or two; can sit a trip and stalk a major speed duel.
5 Get Funky – Old-timer continues to grind out good races; we know he wins for $25k, bumped to $32k tonight.
Long Shot – 8 Dapper Gene
Race 5 – 5 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
5 Blind Magic – Choice for forgiving handicappers; his races two and three back are fast enough to upset these.
8 Naturaliste – Logical chalk ran an OK grinding second in last; has tactical speed to attend the early pace.
Long Shot – 4 Party Ruler
Race 6 – 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse $35,200, Claiming $25,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Bab At The Bowster – Huge class drop gives her a tiny edge; she will not find an easier spot to win in SoCal.
2 Samba School – Claimed by Julio Canani from Mike Mitchell; has been consistent this year especially on the grass.
Long Shot – 1 Attar of Rose
Race 7 – 6 furlongs, Purse $55,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Righteous Renee – Last seen ambitiously placed in the Debutante at Del Mar; returns in a much easier spot.
3 Glamorista – Bob Baffert babies are firing left and right; watch the tote board for additional clues.
Long Shot – 8 Valeria
Race 8 – 1 mile (turf), $150,000 Royal Heroine Mile, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Harmonius – Grade 1 filly returns for an ambitious summer campaign; has run well muliple times off a layoff.
4 Wild Mia – Tom Proctor has shipped out a lot of live runners to SoCal; this one prepped nicely in the Redondo Beach.
Long Shot – 5 Givine
Race 9 – 5 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
11 Shane Daniel – Favorite by default in this very slow group; big class drop, it is now or never time.
5 Onebadboy – Typical green debut, slow early, fast late; big rider switch to David Flores for the money shot.
