Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 – 6 furlongs, Purse $15,000, Claiming $8,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Dish the Dirt – His last two races dropped to this class are good; these are his new friends in his wheelhouse.
7 Small But Mighty – Mike Mitchell figures to keep the momentum going in Arcadia; ran well in last two over Fairplex dirt.
Long Shot – 3 No Flies On Doodle
Race 2 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Claiming $12,500, 3-year-olds and up
8 Charlie and Chris – Did everything but win last time in a narrow defeat; caveat is he is 0-for-10 lifetime at Santa Anita.
1 Clue Me In – Won and was claimed by the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; figures to save all the ground from post 1.
Long Shot – 4 Joyful Success
Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $48,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
7 Thisoneforyou – Ran well off a year hiatus for Mike Mitchell; closer should see plenty of cheap early speed to chase.
8 Cayanna – Like the turn back in distance for a down-the-hill sprint; should be farther back early, but come running late.
Long Shot – 6 La Sombre
Race 4 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $22,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, 2-year-olds
6 Ride Captain – First-time gelding can only help; did a pop-and-stop last out while facing much tougher, class drop today.
5 Big Hands Al – Woke up on Fairplex dirt in last while facing cheaper; may prefer dirt versus the synthetic surfaces.
Long Shot – 11 D’wildbunch
Race 5 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $51,000, Optional claiming 462,500, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
10 Miss Silver Brook – Parking lot posts are an advantage down the hillside course; figures to come roaring late.
6 Ninth Infantry – Is droppping back in distance for this hillside sprint; first time down the hill, should finish.
Long Shot – 7 Miss Georgie Girl
Race 6 – 1 mile, Purse $48,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
8 Hoorayforhollywood – Been away 4 months, but showed lots of ability this spring; working fast, short-priced favorite.
10 Pride of Silver – Gets class relief from the El Cajon for this; flattered when Great Warrior won next time out.
Long Shot – 4 Riveting Reason
Race 7 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $48,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
3 Anniversary Girl – Slight favorite in a wide-open affair; Joel Rosario for Garrett Gomez who is riding at Keeneland today.
11 Last Sting – Much improved since John Sadler took the blinkers off; tactical speed to sit a perfect trip.
Long Shot – 6 Wallstreeter
Race 8 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 Miss Becca – Was flattered when Girls Lacrosse won next out; was 6 lengths clear of that one, clearly the one to beat.
6 Jade’s Song – Mike Pupye adding blinkers on and Joel Rosario for this; expect some improvement in a slowpoke field.
Long Shot – 8 Wheaty’s Well
Best Bet – 5 Miss Becca (race 8)
