Post Time 1 p.m.
Race 1 – 6 furlongs, Purse $18,000, Claiming $10,000, 4-year-olds
2 Flashy Green – Sliding down the claiming ladder to this career-low class; need not be much to handle these.
3 My Johnny Cash – Turf Paradise shipper fits with these better than one might think; Mike Chambers wins at 34 percent.
Long Shot – 6 Purse Luva
Race 2 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $54,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
6 Tribal Beauty – Dead-late closer is turning back in distance; suspect her best stride will come late in the lane.
3 Alala – Tries turf for the first time; has good tactical speed, will be aided by the turf rail out 24 feet.
Long Shot – 1 Nana Beach
Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $8,000, 4-year-olds and up
8 High Perch – Ran evenly in first race off a 2-year hiatus; suspect will be tighter today and offers good value.
1 Flashmans Papers – Game win getting up in the final stride; will save ground and try to get another perfect trip.
Long Shot – 4 Beyond Loaded
Race 4 – 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $63,000, Allowance, 4-year-olds and up
1 Ryehill Dreamer – Draw a line through the San Pasqual over dirt; he’s a nice turf runner, back on his preferred surface.
6 Big Shot Syd – No shot in the slow-paced San Antonio over dirt; he too prefers grass and returns to the surface here.
Long Shot – 4 Rendezvous
Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $54,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
7 Finish Rich in Nyc – She appears faster than these on paper; could inherit the lead in a no-passing-zone race.
8 Excessively Trick – Philip D’Amato was an assistant to Mike Mitchell; was favored two back after a solid career debut.
Long Shot – 4 Bench Beauty
Race 6 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $38,000, Claiming $40,000, 4-year-olds and up
2 Asperity – Red-hot John Sadler trainee teaming up with Garrett Gomez; going with the hot hand in a wide-open turf route.
5 Achak – Not his usual self in last off a 2-month hiatus; ran great for a $40k price tag two races back.
Long Shot – 4 Red Alert Day
Race 7 – 1 mile, Purse $59,000, Optional claiming $62,500, 4-year-olds and up
2 Uh Oh Bango – Ran OK last time off a 10-month hiatus; has tons of back class, figures to be much tighter today.
1 Sky Cape – Only horse running for a price tag here; blinkers on and Rafael Bejarano, good reasons to like him.
Long Shot – 4 Yankee Station
Race 8 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $27,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
2 Benicia Beauty – Is reunited with Rafael Bejarano, a key vote; saves all the ground and grinds it out late.
7 Zees Chris – Has shown good early speed but has a habit of folding up late; Martin Garcia takes a shot tonight.
Long Shot – 6 Random Luck
Best Bet – 2 Flashy Green (race 1)
