Race 1 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
5 Shootin Breez Star – FTS from Paul Aguirre attracts top rider Joel Rosario; watch the tote board for additional clues.
7 Millie N Marie – OK career debut when second at Fairplex; gave her dirt experience already, picks up the pieces late.
Long Shot – 4 Real Rockport
Race 2 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $20,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds
2 Dave’s Ruler – Claimed by clever Julio Canani after a sharp second; like that Joel Rosario remains loyal to the cause.
6 Courtside Action – Ran evenly versus much tougher in last; his race two back, if repeated, is fast enough to upset these.
Long Shot – 4 Thrice the Vice
Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $54,000, Maiden special weights, Fillies, 3-year-olds
4 Lunch Time Diva – Like the turn back in distance from 2-turn route to sprint; should be able to finish strong.
1 Dontbeshy I’ll Buy – Ran better than looked last time at 51/1 odds in a stakes; this is a much easier spot tonight.
Long Shot – 9 Duda Ten
Race 4 – 7 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Allowance, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds
6 Drink At Buster’s – Big race last time, maybe the light bulb went on; Garrett Gomez rides him for the third time in a row.
5 Shred the Secrets – Exits a bullet workout after two good races on his resume; from the underrated Tony Saavedra barn.
Long Shot – 2 Burns
Race 5 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 24 feet), Purse $54,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up
9 Lucky Jim – Tough trip in debut, but all saw the same thing; main question is overcoming a parking lot post.
1 Excusemecomingthru – Ran super quick first race off a year hiatus; with the turf rail out 24 feet, expect P Val to send hard.
Long Shot – 2 Absolutlypositivly
Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $26,000, Claiming $25,000, 4-year-olds and up
11 Lichtenstein – Like the angle of he won last time while running a lower Beyer; all races go through Bob Baffert.
6 Short Memo – Like the turn back in distance albeit from turf to dirt too; has exited key races, this is a good spot.
Long Shot – 1 Obsess
Race 7 – 6 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds
5 Rumor – Liked the way she pulled away in her debut win; she sure looks like a filly with a big upside, worth following.
4 Da Ruler – If speed is king, again, then this Bob Baffert colt will be tough to catch; will be a beast in 1-turn races.
Long Shot – 2 Bench Points
Race 8 – 7 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
9 Suitable Attire – Trainer Don Warren adding blinkers on for the money shot; like the turn back in distance and parking lot post.
6 Miss Addy Kiss – Logical chalk in this bottom-rung maiden claiming event; has speed to attend the early pace.
Long Shot – 1 Sexy Melody
Best Bet – 4 Lunch Time Diva (race 3)
