TODAY AT HOLLYWOOD PARK

Post Time 11 a.m.
Race 1 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $20,000, Claiming $10,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
1 Twodollarstowin – Like horses that won last out and ran a slower Beyer speed figure; has some room to improve.
6 Merrytagio – Dead-late closer facing a lot of culls in this short field; will be passing tired horses in the lane.
Long Shot – 4 First Queen
Race 2 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $30,000, Maiden claiming $50,000, 3-year-olds and up
3 Rock So Hard – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; also a Bob Baffert cull to boot.
6 Photo Shopped – Another taking the huge class drop from MSW to maiden claiming; tries 2 turns for the first time.
Long Shot – 5 Parable
Race 3 – 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $60,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds and up
2 Quick Enough – Exits the much tougher Tiznow for this; surprised he is running for an $80k price tag, but he is 7-YO.
1 Don Tito – Like the rail post in these Inglewood turf sprints; saves ground and tries his best in the stretch run.
Long Shot – 4 Earnednevergiven
Race 4 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $52,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
5 Awesome Indy – Won his MSW with complete authority in last; capable of beating winners facing them for the first time.
3 Master Chef – Game run as a beaten favorite in the Grey Memo in last; has the best resume and a strong last two races.
Long Shot – 2 Magnificent Blend
Race 5 – 1 1/16th miles, $150,000 Milady Handicap, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
5 St Trinians – Given a short rest after two poor dirt stakes at Santa Anita; probably likes synthetics a lot better.
6 American Story – Bob Baffert filly has been nurtured where she should be ready for this test; speed to lead or sit close up.
Long Shot – 2 Washington Bridge
Race 6 – 4 1/2 furlongs, Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds
1 Majestic City – The rail is the best post in these abbreviated baby races; break sharp and turn left quickly.
2 Seeking the Sherif – Tepid favorite in a race where you have a big edge over me; you’ll see the tote action on the FTS.
Long Shot – 8 Unhitchthetrailor
Race 7 – 1 1/16th miles (turf), Purse $52,000, Allowance, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up
4 Boehle – Stretches out around 2 turns after a grass win down the Arcadia hillside turf course; sold turf resume too.
1 Caitie’s Secret – Speedball draws the rail, which should make her strategy easier; Joel Rosario nurses her on the lead.
Long Shot – 3 Laura Beasley
Race 8 – 6 furlongs, Purse $50,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up
2 Circle the Moon – Second time out after a strong debut for Bruce Headley; exits a highly regarded MSW event.
4 Smoking Ben – FTS from Ben Cecil barn has been working up a storm; bullet works and Corey Nakatani point to a live one.
Long Shot – 6 Jack Reacher
Race 9 – 6 furlongs (turf), Purse $35,000, Claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds and up
2 The Whammer – Has run two fine races for Mike Mitchell off the claim; when he gets them good, they stay good for a while.
3 Hidden Blessing – Speedball has a shot to control this from pillar to post; Brice Blanc is not known as a speed rider.
Long Shot – 1 Mensa Heat
Race 10 – 7 furlongs, $100,000 Railbird, Fillies, 3-year-olds
9 May Day Rose – Gutsy stakes win at Oaklawn in last; like the turn back in distance and the parking lot post, stalks here.
2 Pedaltothemedal – Filly is improving by leaps and bounds with each start; bred to be quick, best likely at 1-turn races.
Long Shot – 6 Big Tiz
Race 11 – 6 furlongs, Purse $20,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 3-year-olds and up
5 Ignited – First-time gelding can benefit from the ultimate equipment change; already showed sharp speed in his debut.
14 Crispy Corey – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; need not be much to compete.
Long Shot – 11 Personalitary
Best Bet – 5 St Trinians (race 5)
