■ HIGHLIGHTS: At Des Moines, Iowa, three Iowa pitchers combined to shut out the 51s (21-24) on seven hits. Chris Rusin picked up the victory after allowing six hits in six innings. Relievers Yoanner Negrin and Eduardo Sanchez combined to give up one hit over the final three innings. … Logan Watkins led off the bottom of the first inning with a home run for the Cubs (19-25). He finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs. … Brandon Hicks went 2-for-3 with a double for the 51s, and Wilmer Flores was 2-for-4. … The 51s were shut out for the second time this season — and this month. They lost 3-0 on May 3 to Sacramento. … Iowa won the series, 3-1.
