Harper shows off humor, body for New Era, ESPN — VIDEO

Bryce Harper is no Derek Zoolander, but the Washington Nationals star holds his own in a humorous walk-off with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Nina Agdal during a New Era All-Star hat commercial.
In the ad, Agdal tells Harper she’ll “play him” for his hat and the two compete in activities including a tire roll, blowing bubbles, playing chess, and, yes, walking the runway.
Check out the commercial below.
Along with showing off his sense of humor in the New Era ad, Harper will show off his sculpted physique in ESPN The Magazine’s upcoming “Body Issue.”
The Las Vegan said he’s pumped to be one of the 24 athletes featured in the magazine’s annual issue.
“I’ve always wanted to do the Body Issue,” Harper, 22, said. “I want to put baseball out there.”
Part of Harper’s half-naked Body Issue photoshoot — part of which can be seen in this video — appears to have been done at the UNLV baseball field.
Other athletes featured in the Body Issue — which will debut online July 6 and hit newsstands on July 10 — include NBA stars Kevin Love and DeAndre Jordan, NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. and United States women’s soccer star Ali Krieger.
Harper, a Las Vegas High School and College of Southern Nevada product, has been on a roll on and off the field during his breakout season. He’s batting .340 with 24 homers and 58 RBIs for the first-place Nats and is the leading National League All-Star Game vote-getter.
