Bald eagle, not according to plan, flies right out of Dodgers Stadium — VIDEO

As part of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ game on July 4, a bald eagle soared over Dodgers Stadium before the team’s game against the Baltimore Orioles.
But it was going … going … and then gone.
The bald eagle, from the Los Angeles Zoo, took Independence Day a bit too literally and flew past its handler in the outfield and out of the stadium.
Before the unplanned event, the Dodgers tweeted, “Baseball. Eagles. #FourthofJuly. AMERICA.”

The eagle, Chinook, was part of a pair flying across the stadium while Ray Charles’ version of “America the Beautiful” played. When it looked like it was returning to its handler, it just kept going and eventually left the stadium.
LA Zoo tweeted later that night that Chinook was found near the trainer’s van was safe and sound.
