Arbor View slips past Mojave in boys volleyball

Matt Ward had 53 assists, four kills and three blocks to help Arbor View to a 26-24, 15-25, 25-27, 25-22, 15-10 win over visiting Mojave in boys volleyball Monday.

Nathan Stewart added 16 kills and six blocks for the Aggies, and teammate Calvin Warren had 14 kills and seven blocks.

Robert Mokiao helped lead the Rattlers with 28 kills, 17 assists and 17 digs. Tony Vaz added 12 kills and 27 assists for Mojave.

At Foothill, Kris Mitchell had 17 kills and Joey Repetti 34 assists to help lead Green Valley past the Falcons, 16-25, 25-20, 25-12, 25-14.

Taylor Smith had six kills for the Gators. Foothill’s Franz McClure had 11 kills, and Weston Milne had nine digs for the Falcons.

At Cheyenne, Breyden Burley had 14 kills and four aces, and Mike Tagliaferri added 31 assists as Centennial defeated the Desert Shields, 25-8, 25-19, 25-18.

Levi Chavez had six kills for Cheyenne.

At Del Sol, Bryan Grenier had 20 kills, 13 assists and eight aces to help the Dragons top Vo-Tech, 25-23, 22-25, 25-15, 25-15.

Tex Boonjue added six kills and 22 assists for Del Sol, and teammate Evan Fast had 10 kills.

At Coronado, Kyle Johnson had four kills for the Cougars as they defeated Liberty, 25-7, 25-16, 25-10.

Jesse Houchens and Eddie Wiecek each had two kills and one block for the Cougars.

Jamie Acayan had five assists for the Patriots.

At Basic, Tom Sullivan had seven kills and Richie Arguello six aces to lead Silverado over the Wolves, 25-15, 25-16, 25-10.

Jared Mackelprang had four kills and two blocks for Basic.

At Legacy, Jakob Shallenberger had 18 assists and Dylan Dodds nine kills to help Shadow Ridge defeat the Longhorns, 25-16, 25-19, 25-6.

Colton Wardell added five kills and six digs for the Mustangs.

Legacy’s Dallin Waite had seven assists, and Dario Rahming had three kills and four digs for the Longhorns.

At Cimarron-Memorial, Joe Kauliakamoa had 15 kills, 11 digs and four aces, and Jorge Arroyo had 24 assists to help Palo Verde defeat the Spartans, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23.

Palo Verde’s Reese Gneiting added five aces and four blocks, and Nick Bigler had 10 kills for the Panthers.

Cimarron’s Mauro Lauro had 22 assists, and teammate Dustin Larsen had seven digs and seven kills.
