51s’ Dykstra hitless in Triple-A All-Star Game

One night after winning the Home Run Derby, the 51s’ Allan Dykstra went 0-for-3 in the Triple-A All-Star Game on Wednesday in Durham, N.C.

Dykstra was the designated hitter for the Pacific Coast League, which lost 7-3 to the International League.

The International League scored four runs in the first two innings and three in the sixth. Three players drove in two runs apiece.

Buffalo Bisons pitcher Liam Hendriks, who who struck out four batters and allowed one hit in the first two innings, was named the International League’s “top star.” Tacoma Rainiers shortstop Chris Taylor was named the PCL’s best performer after going 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Dykstra was the only 51s player selected to the game. Dykstra, who also plays first base, is batting .282 with 12 home runs and 59 RBIs.
