Woman dies, two injured in Spring Mountain crash
A 68-year-old woman died after a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning at the intersection of Spring Mountain Road and Buffalo Drive.
A 2006 Nissan Titan pickup truck was traveling north on Buffalo Drive at Spring Mountain Road when a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C300 made a left turn into the truck’s path, police said.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue had to extricate the driver from one of the vehicles about 9:30 a.m., according to Las Vegas police spokesman Bill Cassell.
The 68-year-old passenger of the Mercedes was transported to University Medical Center where she later died from her injuries, police said.
The drivers of both vehicles were transported to the hospital in serious condition.
This was the 95th traffic-related fatality in the Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction this year.
