Woman, 83, critical after three-car collision in Las Vegas

An 83-year-old driver was in critical condition after causing a three-car crash when she ran a red light Saturday, according to Las Vegas police.

The collision occurred in the intersection of West Centennial Parkway with North Durango Drive at noon.

The woman was driving a 1995 Buick Regal south on Durango and entered the intersection against a red light when her car was struck on the passenger side by a 2009 Ford F250 heading east, police said.

The vehicles spun and the Buick struck a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado waiting at the red light on Durango, police said.

The woman, who wasn’t immediately identified, was transported to University Medical Center.

No other injuries were reported.

The collision is still under investigation.
