March 1, 2014 - 4:48 pm
Two people who hail from Las Vegas are among the more than 100 spring interns chosen by the White House.
Lance Arberry, a student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and Green Valley High School graduate Marylee Keller will join the hands-on program designed to nurture young leaders and prepare them for future public service opportunities.
White House interns can work in many departments, such as domestic policy, communications or the first lady’s office.
The application process requires answering a series of essay questions and providing letters of recommendation. The White House employs interns in the spring, summer and fall.
Any U.S. citizen enrolled in an undergraduate program within the past two years can apply for this unpaid position on www.whitehouse.gov/about/internships.
