TV reporter charged in incident at MGM Grand

A reporter for KLAS-TV, Channel 8 was charged with misdemeanor battery domestic violence stemming from an incident at the MGM Grand early Saturday morning.

Melissa Duran, 26, was accused of grabbing 32-year-old Julio Cesar Seda’s shirt and pushing him, according to her arrest report.

Police and MGM security were called to the hotel’s poker room about 2 a.m. in response to a report that a man was dragging a woman on the floor, the report stated.

The television station released this statement: “It’s a situation we are taking very seriously. Beyond that it would be inappropriate to comment on a personnel matter.”

Duran could not be reached for comment.
