Timelapse video shows 6 inches of snow mount in 20 seconds

How does 6 inches of snow look?

While people in Las Vegas may not see such a sight often, the East Coast is seeing it right now.

TIME Magazine did a timelapse video showing six inches of snow build up in Times Square in New York, condensing it to a 20-second clip.

A snowstorm and freezing temperatures caused problems throughout the East Coast on Friday. New York’s governor declared a state of emergency on Thursday night.

The storm caused many flights in the New York area to be canceled and wind gusts of up to 30 mph have made frostbite a legitimate possibility.

In the video, people can be seen trying to clear the streets of snow, only for it to come back.
