Impact Nevada: Mining industry and taxes

The Impact Nevada TV program for this weekend includes a discussion with Review-Journal columnists Jane Ann Morrison and John L. Smith about why the mining industry doesn’t pay higher taxes — for now.

Also, the program poses the question: Is it time to stop relying in gaming and come up with a new plan to generate revenue? That’s what lawmakers are working on in Carson City.

The program’s partners are the Las Vegas Review-Journal, 8NewsNow and Vegas PBS.
