Henderson Assemblywoman Dooling’s husband dies

CARSON CITY — Richard Dooling, the husband of Assemblywoman Victoria Dooling, died Sunday in the Las Vegas area.

The couple had been married for 50 years and have two children and four grandchildren, a spokesman said. Dooling, 70, was a real estate development analyst.

Because of her husband’s death, Dooling, R-Henderson, won’t be returning to Carson City for the remainder of the legislative session, said Ed Gonzalez, a spokesman for the Assembly GOP caucus.

The legislative session must end by midnight Monday.

Dooling was elected in November to her District 41 seat.
