CARSON CITY — Assemblyman John Hambrick, R-Las Vegas, was hospitalized Tuesday after suffering chest pains, but legislators said he should be back on the job today .

“He was in good spirits,” said Assemblyman Lynn Stewart, R-Henderson. “Five of us were in his room last night. He is more there for observation than anything else.”

Hambrick, who turns 66 this year, represents Assembly District 2. He competed for the minority leadership position after the November election, but lost to Pete Goicoechea, R-Eureka.
