PHOTOS: ‘Life Cube’ lights up downtown Las Vegas

Downtown Las Vegas has seen some fiery events before, but Friday’s “Life Cube” event may have taken things to a new incendiary level.

The “Life Cube,” a 24-by-24-foot wooden art sculpture, was a community art exhibit that was adorned with postcards from visitors who had been asked to share their wishes and goals.

Those dreams were then “released into the universe,” as the event’s website described it.

The burning took place on a lot near Fremont and Ninth streets.
