Pedestrian struck, killed near UNLV

A 67-year-old man was struck by a car and died near UNLV on Tuesday night, Las Vegas police said.

The man was jaywalking near the intersection of Swenson Street with Twain Avenue when he was struck, according to Metro Lt. David Gordon.

The man was pronounced dead at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
