Gotta wonder why assemblyman is in the Legislature

While perusing bills sponsored by Nevada legislators, I saw Democratic Assemblyman Andrew Martin is the primary sponsor of just one bill.
The certified public accountant’s one bill makes it easier to become a CPA without an accounting degree.
He is a CPA himself. Oh yeah, he’s in the Legislature for all the right reasons. Hmmm. Think he could be a one-termer?
Recall that on the eve of election day, Martin was ruled ineligible to run because when he filed, he wasn’t actually living in Assembly District 9. His residence there was a ruse.
Despite the judge’s ruling, Martin won and legislators seated him anyway. If the seat had been declared vacant, as it should have been, the county commission would have chose a Democrat to fill it as required by law, so it’s not like the balance of power would have been disturbed.
