Mojo Rising plays Beauty Bar
Whether you love or hate Jim Morrison, it’s probably for the very same reasons: He was hopelessly self-absorbed, self-indulgent and ultimately self-destructive.
As is to be expected, the music he made was decidedly hit or miss, mainly because he catered to his every whim unabashedly.
And so the six albums he left behind with the Doors before his untimely passing at the age of 27 are equally spotty, wayward and brilliant.
Tonight marks the 30th anniversary of his passing, and Doors tribute band Mojo Rising will remember the man who’s hard to forget.
See the band at 10 p.m. at the Beauty Bar, 517 Fremont St. Call 598-1965.
