Police dashcam shows scary moment on roadside

An Iowa State Trooper and a County Sheriff’s Deputy narrowly escaped being hit last week by an airborne truck that flew off onto the side of the road.

And it was all caught on a dashboard camera.

In the video, the trooper and sheriff’s deputy had a vehicle pulled over when out of nowhere a truck comes flying by right between their cars and down an embankment, narrowly missing them both.

On the dashcam video you can hear one yell, “You OK?” And then both run toward the truck.

According to ABC News, the truck had been hit by a semi that had failed to slow down as it approached the scene.

The Iowa State Trooper was treated with minor injuries, according to KCRG, while the condition of the truck driver was unknown.
