A motorcycle rider died after crashing into a cement barricade near Tropicana Avenue and Dean Martin Drive early Monday morning.

A 22-year-old man riding a 2009 Honda motorcycle was traveling north on Dean Martin Drive at a high rate of speed, said Las Vegas police spokesman Lt. Dave Gordon.

The man failed to make a left turn onto Tropicana Avenue and crashed into a wall about 3 a.m. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
