Motorcyclist dies after collision with car

One person is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle near Lake Mead Boulevard and D Street Thursday afternoon.

Las Vegas police responded to the collision about 3 p.m.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said.

One other person was being treated for injuries, but police did not have details on the extent of the person’s injuries.

Eastbound Lake Meat Boulevard from Revere Street to D Street, and both directions of D Street from Lake Mead Boulevard to Frederick Avenue have been shut down due to emergency personnel in the area.
