Three students win spots in National Geographic bee — PHOTOS

Students from across the state gathered at Tarkanian Middle School on Friday for the 2015 Nevada National Geographic State Bee at Tarkanian Middle School.

Bringing together competitors in grades four through eight, the bee ended with three Nevadans selected to represent Nevada in the National Geographic Bee:

First place: Brian Montes, Adobe Middle School in Elko, 8th grader

Second: Angel Cruz, Johnson Jr. High in Las Vegas, 8th grader

Third: Amal Anilkumar, Greenspun Jr. High in Henderson, 8th grader
