Ober Elementary evacuated for kitchen fire; no one hurt

A west Las Vegas Valley elementary school was evacuated after an oven in the cafeteria caught fire Monday morning.

It happened at 9:15 a.m. at Ober Elementary School, 3035 Desert Marigold Lane, and was contained to the oven, according to Clark County Fire Department.

No one was injured and students were allowed to return to class after about 15 minutes.

Four fire engines responded, but three were immediately released.
