For nearly 2 hours twice-a-day Demetrius Lockhart  takes his 10-year old son Montrel to and from Craig Elementary School  in North Las Vegas on the Citizen Area Transit bus. Although about 5 miles away, it is a world apart from where they live on Martin Luther King Boulevard near near U.S. 95 overpass. Nearly 25 years ago Demetrius Lockhart went to school at Craig Elementary and his is hoping his son doesn’t fall in the same footsteps as him, a crack-smoking, car stealing, prison-spotted past that ended two-years ago.
