After rehab stint, Spears hits Strip

Racking up more points for mother-of-the-year honors, Britney Spears made a post-rehab run to Las Vegas on Saturday.

Spears, whose monthlong rehab stint ended about a week ago, had dinner at Tao Bistro in The Venetian.

Spies say Spears, accompanied by two galpals and a bodyguard, requested a table close to a restroom "because she would be using the restroom a lot."

Her handlers also advised the staff not to serve her any alcohol. She was seen drinking what appeared to be a soft drink.

Spears, who was wearing a blond wig, and her party were in the restaurant for about an hour.

HAMMING IT UP

Zaniness ruled at the "Monty Python’s Spamalot" premiere at Wynn Las Vegas.

The highlight of the after-party came when the show’s creator, Eric Idle, and John O’Hurley, who plays King Arthur, launched into a lively ballroom dance as a deejay played The Beatles‘ "When I’m Sixty-Four."

Idle turned 64 on Thursday.

The elaborately themed La Tour ballroom featured food and libation stations with such names as "Noshalot," "Ye Olde Feastalot" and "Drinkalot." Knights, knaves and serving wenches wore period costumes.

Earlier, on the red, um, cowhide-print carpet, Diane Sawyer commandeered a microphone from an in-house camera crew and conducted an interview with Python member Terry Gilliam.

Classiest moment of the night: Song and dance icon Ben Vereen, leaning over the edge of the orchestra pit after the premiere and telling the orchestra, "Thank you, ladies and gentlemen." SIGHTINGS
