Wind gusts, warm weather in store for Las Vegas on Tuesday

Updated February 5, 2018 - 7:49 pm

Las Vegas’ unseasonably warm weather will continue through the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Tuesday’s forecast high of 74 degrees is expected to be accompanied by wind gusts of up to 20 mph, the weather service said.

Wednesday’s high will drop to 69 degrees, but highs of 75 degrees are forecast for Thursday and Friday, according to the weather service.

Temperatures are expected to drop again Saturday and Sunday, with highs of 71 and 68 degrees, respectively. Both days show a 10 percent chance of rain, the weather service said.

“But it’s not clear yet if it’s going to happen,” said Reid Wolcott, a meteorologist with the weather service.

Low temperatures through the weekend are expected to stay around 50 degrees.

The average high temperature this time of year is about 60 degrees, Wolcott said.
