Warm weekend expected for Las Vegas

Updated April 28, 2019 - 12:10 am

Las Vegas will have a warm weekend before a weather system comes early next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday was warm and sunny, reaching a high of 96 degrees, the weather service said.

Sunday will be quite similar, with a high of 91 and increasing clouds later in the day, meteorologist John Adair said.

By Monday, the valley will have a 40 percent chance for showers and a high of 79, more than 10 degrees cooler than what we’ve experienced in the last few days, Adair said.

Rain chances will be gone from the valley by Tuesday, which has a high of 82 and winds about 20 to 30 mph, the weather said.

Wednesday is projected a high of 82 and clear, sunny skies, followed by a high of 87 on Thursday.
