Warm weather ahead in Las Vegas Valley

Updated January 14, 2018 - 10:44 pm

The Las Vegas valley can expect cloudy skies this week, the National Weather Service said.

Monday’s forecast high of 65 degrees will be accompanied by partly cloudy skies, meteorologist Reid Wolcott said. Mostly cloudy skies are expected Tuesday, but partly cloudy skies are expected the rest of the week.

Tuesday through Thursday will see highs around 63 degrees, Wolcott said, with Friday showing a high of 60 degrees. Lows throughout the week are expected to stay in the mid-40s.

The Spring Mountains will see a slight chance of rain, Wolcott said, but no rain is expected in the valley. Friday will see a 20 percent chance of rain on Friday.

“Even if it does rain, it’s not going to be a soaker like we saw last week,” Wolcott said.

Friday is expected to be windy with gusts between 35 and 50 mph, Wolcott said. Sustained winds are expected to stay around 25 mph.
