Sunny skies, normal temps expected through the weekend in Las Vegas

Sunny skies and normal temperatures are expected to stay through the weekend in Las Vegas.

The forecast high Friday is 57 degrees, and the low is 40 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures will remain about the same until Sunday, when parts of the valley could see 60 degrees.

There’s no real chance it’ll rain in the valley this weekend, but Mount Charleston “might get a light snow shower or light snow flurries,” meteorologist Chris Stachelski said

Into next week, Monday will see a high of 62 degrees in the valley before temperatures begin to drop again, reaching the mid-50s by Thursday, Stachelski said.

“The next chance for rain (in the valley) will probably be Tuesday or Wednesday,” he said, adding the chance was only about 20 percent.
