Sunny and warm week ahead for Las Vegas

Updated June 16, 2019 - 9:38 pm

There’s a slight chance of rain in the Las Vegas Valley on Monday, but otherwise this week promises warm and sunny weather.

After reaching a high of 101 degrees on Sunday, temperatures Monday afternoon should peak just under the century mark at 99 degrees, the National Weather Service said. There’s a slight chance — 10 percent — that the valley could see showers or thunderstorms on Monday.

The valley should remain dry and sunny through the rest of the workweek, beginning with a high of 101 degrees on Tuesday. The weather service forecasts Wednesday will see a high 104 degrees and Thursday will reach 105 degrees. Winds on Thursday could blow between 20 and 30 mph, the weather service said.

Temperatures on Friday will dip back to 99 degrees, matching the average high for this time of year, the weather service said.

Overnight lows should hover between 76 and 80 degrees through Friday.
