Some rain falls on Vegas; mountains dusted with snow

Rain and cooler temperatures returned to Las Vegas on Thursday.

Showers dropped 12/100ths of an inch near Sam Boyd Stadium and an inch of snow at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort at Mount Charleston, but McCarran International Airport stayed dry, said National Weather Service meteorologist Andy Gorelow.

A slight chance of rain remains heading into Thursday evening, Gorelow said. But clouds were dissipating around the valley on Thursday afternoon.

Low temperatures will stay in the upper 50s and lower 60s Thursday night, but should climb into the upper 70s by Friday morning, Gorelow said.

High temperatures will remain in the 70s through Saturday, according to the Weather Service.
