Slightly warmer temperatures forecast for Las Vegas

Expect sunny skies and patchy cloud cover as the valley’s cool temperatures start climbing this week.

The high Wednesday will be 55 degrees, and the overnight low will be 34. Thursday will reach 58 degrees, which matches the valley’s average high for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.

As the week winds down, expect some great sunsets too — thanks to storms in northern and central Nevada, clouds will roll in around Thursday and Friday.

But don’t get excited about rain. Those storms are “just a little too far north to bring us any chance of precipitation,” said John Adair, NWS meteorologist.

Still, Adair said the clouds will account for a slight warming this week. Thursday’s low will be 39 and Friday’s low will be 41, with a high of 58 expected midday.

Winds will be tame through the week, he said.
