Don’t let the latest warm January weather fool you; rain, winds and a cold front will move into the Las Vegas Valley Saturday.
Saturday’s high is expected to be in the low 60s and gradually decrease as the mostly cloudy skies gear up for some precipitation.
The valley is expected to see some light showers Saturday evening and a slight breeze with southwest gusts up to 20 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
“The best window for rain is between 6 p.m. and 9 to 10 p.m.,” NWS meteorologist Reid Wolcott said.
The precipitation is expected to leave snow on the Spring Mountains with amounts ranging between a slight dusting and a couple of inches, according to the weather service.
A cold front could move into the valley late Saturday bringing more wind that will stick around into next week.
Sunday’s high will be in the upper 50s and 20 to 30 mph winds most of the day, Wolcott said.
The beginning of next week looks nice and calm despite lingering breezy conditions that are expected to last until Tuesday.
