Partly cloudy in Las Vegas Valley before weekend storm system

Updated January 8, 2019 - 9:02 pm

Partly cloudy skies throughout the workweek will yield to a storm system expected to pass through the Las Vegas Valley this weekend.

After Tuesday’s temperature reached a high of 58, the National Weather Service forecast highs of 60 on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday should see a high of 59.

Temperatures will dip this weekend as the storm system arrives, with a 20 percent chance for showers both days. Highs of 57 and 55 are expected on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Overnight lows will be in the low 40s through the weekend, the weather service said.
