Updated September 1, 2019 - 9:54 pm

An excessive heat warning for the Las Vegas Valley was lifted at 9 p.m. Sunday after being in effect for several days, and a high of 100 degrees was expected for Labor Day.

According to the National Weather Service, after Sunday hit a high of 110 degrees, the temperature was set to fall overnight as some clouds rolled in.

There’s a 20 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms on Labor Day. Winds will stay calm through the day but should increase at night, gusting up to 20 mph.

That slight chance for rain will drop to less than 10 percent on Tuesday, a level that will last through the week.

Tuesday’s expected high is 103, and Wednesday’s should rise to about 105. Thursday and Friday should see highs near 102 and 103, respectively.
