Las Vegas Valley to see warmer than normal temperatures

Updated December 14, 2018 - 9:03 pm

Highs in the Las Vegas Valley will be 5 to 10 degrees above normal over the weekend and early next week.

High temperatures average around 56 degrees for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will climb on Saturday to 62 degrees, with Sunday reaching about 63. Monday is expected to see a high of 62, followed by 63 on Tuesday and 65 on Wednesday.

Overnight lows will be in the mid-40s through Wednesday, the weather service said.

It will be mostly sunny during that period, interrupted briefly Monday by partly cloudy skies.

The valley will be dry throughout most of next week, with the exception of a 10 percent chance of showers Monday. There’s also a 30 percent chance for snow showers in the Spring Mountains on Monday, the weather service said.
