Las Vegas Valley sees light showers, calmer weather for Sunday

Saturday’s showers should give way to a warm and breezy Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Parts of the valley saw light showers Saturday, meteorologist Caleb Steele said. A flood advisory was in effect at Red Rock Canyon until 4:30 p.m. Saturday’s high was 66 degrees, and the valley saw winds around 25 mph.

Sunday’s forecast high is 66 degrees with winds from 15 to 25 mph and possible gusts up to 30 mph, Steele said. Monday and Tuesday should see highs of 69-degree highs.

The valley is expected to dry up over the weekend until about Friday, Steele said. By Friday, the valley will have a good chance for showers again.
