Highs in mid-80s, mostly clear skies in store for Las Vegas Valley

Updated October 25, 2018 - 10:42 pm

Expect warmer than average in the Las Vegas Valley through the weekend, but cold weather will arrive near the Halloween holiday, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday reached a high of 84 degrees and Friday is expected to reach 83, the weather service said. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be 85, and Monday will hit a high of 84.

Overnight lows through Sunday will be around 62 degrees, the weather service said.

No rain is forecast through Sunday, and mostly sunny skies will be accompanied by light breezes, the weather service said.

Highs around this time of year normally average about 77 degrees, according to meteorologist Kate Guillet. A cooling trend is expected in the valley early next week, she said.

Come Tuesday the high temperature is expected to be 73, with morning lows in the 50s, meterologist Trevor Boucher said.

The valley should expect to be “about 10 degrees cooler around Halloween,” he said.
